A great pleasure I have each year is being a judge in the Social Impact Media Awards‘ Impact category, which highlights distinctive approaches, creative models, successful tactics and innovative programs in global development and social justice, as well as creative awareness videos that inspire critical consciousness of current social issues.

Tep Vanny is a activist leading her community in challenging the government and private corporations trying to take their land in Boeung Kak Lake in Cambodia. The Vital Voices film is an inspiring portrayal of people power, in which Vanny narrates their struggle.
